If it reports that external flash is attached then what that means is that the sensor in the hot shoe is likely stuck. The shot shoe has two "rails" that hold an external flash and each rail has a "leaf spring". Use a toothpick (or something that wont scratch the camera) and *carefully* lift the springs.
Hopefully just a settings issue on my part as I am new to the 7D and still trying to learn all the functions. However, the pop up flash just doesn't seem to be working. When I set the dial to fully automatic mode and then press "menu" I see "Flash Control" at the bottom of the screen. When I select that it takes me to the Flash Control screen
G1x Internal Flash not working. Apr 15, 2012. My built-in flash is not working. I've reset all settings to factory default, it still didn't work. Last night, I attached a canon 220ex flash which worked. After that, the built-in flash worked all last night. This morning the built-in flash does NOT work again.
The built-in flash does not fire. If you shoot continuously with the built-in flash at short intervals, the flash might stop operating to protect the flash unit. The camera makes a noise when it is shaken. The built-in flash's pop-up mechanism moves slightly. This is normal. The shutter makes two shooting sounds during Live View shooting. There are several reasons your camera might not take a photo in low light. First, it may be too dark for the autofocus system to work. Most cameras have AF systems which work down to about EV -1, which is dim ambient light. (Your eyes will adjust and be able to see relatively well, but the camera won't work.)
Even RP has the same sensor and max shutter speed as 6DII. It does not mean that the high speed sync will work. I have tried all M and ttl and ended up with similar results, i.e., clear banding (90% picture dark and top 10% bright) in my pictures as soon as shutter speed exceeds 1/200. Firmware for camera, flash and triggers is updated.

I don’t think so because the flash fires at every speed higher than a 60th of a second. 2. DesignerAd9. • 1 yr. ago. Does the F1 have a selector switch to set either X sync or FP. Make sure it is set to X. FP is for flash bulbs. Still, flash sync should always fire below 1/60. 1. Analog_Mountains. Also, at this time, AFAIK, the only camera menu system that has full two-way communication with Godox gear is Canon. It's common for non-Canon camera menu flash settings to be grayed out or fixed to TTL when a Godox flash or transmitter is on the hotshoe. M settings will work properly so long as they're set on the transmitter. Step #2 Ensure The “Air” Radio System Is Turned On. Profoto has the radio system labeled as “Air” in their system, and in that Profoto system, if this is set to off or transmit only, certain things are going to happen. When it’s set to “Air Off” you won’t even see channels or groupings in your display anymore. xPNM.
